Justice and Constitutional Affairs Minister Martha Karua said the Government would resort to asking for a special omission of the Limitations of Actions Act in its pursuit of the billions of shillings looted from public coffers under the Goldenberg Scheme.
She said Kenyans would not give up in their quest to recover the billions lost through the fake precious metals export compensation scheme.
Karua appeared to contradict the Director of the Kenya Anti-corruption Commission Aaron Ringera who was last week quoted as saying the pursuit of the funds may be a lost cause as claims for the money may have been time barred under the Act that specifies the amount of time after which a legal action may not be initiated.
What has happened. Where does Karua stand now?
