Dear Hon Karua.
I'm appealing to you to use your docket to bring about national cohesion. The violence that rocked our country at the beginning of this year was a result of false concepts people have about 'other' (now that we have politics based on identity). For example, in Western Kenya/Nyanza/Coast/parts of Rift Valley, there is widely held assumption that the Agikuyu community are 'wealthy' because they have occupied state house twice. No one talks about back-breaking tasks being undertaken in Central Kenya farms by old women, men and youths.By encouraging youth/women/men groups from such places to visit places like Mwea to see how ordinary people work so hard on day to day basis, attitides may slowly begin to change. This may also help such communities which link state house occupation by 'one of their own'as their only chance for personal development. They may in turn embrace hard work and spent less time in political meeting and become economically productive.
I wish you the best of luck in your quest for the highest seat in our beloved Kenya. As you have said, presidency should never be an inheritance neither should we encourage the creation of political dynasties for that is not democracy we fought for in the streets during Moi's iron fist rule. We should never have democracy the Luo/Nyanza way!
A statement such as that above is what makes the rest of the Kenyans really pissed off.
What are you trying to insinuate now?
That other Kenyans do not do backbreaking work?
How do you figure to talk about national cohesion and in the same breath utter your 'ethnic bias'?
People that think like you are among those that will make sure that Martha Karua has no chance.
Shame on you ethnic bigot!
