Remember the constitutional review wars?

Remeber this:

War of words is brewing between the government and the opposition over constitutional reforms.

Justice and Constitutional Affairs Minister Martha Karua on Thursday dismissed a group led by the Kabete MP Paul Muite as insincere for threatening to call for mass action to push for minimum constitutional reforms ahead of the general election.

Speaking during the Law Society of Kenya LSK luncheon, Karua accused the group of misleading Kenyans into believing that the government was standing in the way of constitutional reforms.

She said any contentious issues could only be resolved through dialogue and not by threats and demonstrations.

And in a quick rejoinder, the Muite led group under the newly formed Muungano wa Katiba Mpya Movement vowed to move on with their plans for mass action, saying it was the only way to compel the government to agree to minimum reforms.

Led by Dalmas Otieno, the group says it will also hold public rallies countrywide until they achieve their goals.

There has been a stand off between the two sides on whether or not to have minimum or maximum reforms before the December general election.

Hon. Karua. Whether it is real or not if you've decided to run for the highest office in 2012, please keep up the good work you've always stood for. Continue the spirit of change that brought you to the limelight. Of course our country still needs a lot of changes which are long overdue. My support for you to the highest office is confirmed. Let us do it for the generations to come. Why can't we have food sufficiency at this day and age! How long can we tolerate impunity! How can we embrace a spirit of innovation! What is the future of our youths! How long will it take to fix our basic infrastructure!!!!!, and many other issues down the list. Am sure we have the ability/capacity to tackle this issues if we have the right leadership and i see that in you. Go ahead and get more votes and we shall put you in office come 2013.
